The main idea behind Signal Experiments is to apply experimental digital signal processing (DSP) technieques to supplement what can be done with musical instrument sampling. This crazy idea was initiated by Drew Bañas who was looking for more artistic and enjoyable  uses for his years of DSP know-how. In addition to unconventional audio signal processing, (semi) automation of traditionally trivial-yet-tedious sampling tasks is applied whereever feasible. The resulting sound libaries slowly builded up and improved over the years leading to this humble website.
